Second-Hand Scores

I didn't have time to hit any yard sales this weekend, but I did manage to stop by the local Waterfront Rescue thrift store on Wednesday. Don't forget to stop by Rhoda's to see what treasures everyone else found too.

This white ceramic rooster only set me back $1.99. I almost didn't get him because I thought he might be a little too country for my kitchen, but he was too cute to resist and after cleaning him and placing him by the sink, I'm glad I did.

These little metal plates were $0.99 for the set. They are cute & vintage-looking, perfect for Miss P's wooden play kitchen (which is still waiting to be painted).

Sweet sweater for Miss P $1.99.

This last find is an oldie, but goodie and I had to share it. I found these whimsical candle holders on the side of the road on trash day about a year ago. They were brand new and still in the Pier 1 box! I stored them away and had forgotten them until this morning when I was searching for my camera cord.

~Thanks for looking!~

Those little metal plates are adorable, and if you find that the rooster is too country, send him this way!

Love the metal plates! I found a 'set' at our local Good Will last week, but although I eyed them a good while, I didn't pick them up and now wish I had. They are so adroable!
Great finds and how funny you thrift shopped at your own house! (I do this too)

Nissa, you are gonna laugh, but I have the 4 matching glasses (wine) to your Pier One candleholders that I found at a yardsale. Got them all for $5 and they are SO pretty. I remember they had the candleholders too, but I didn't buy them, just no room for more. How funny is that?!

Cute rooster!

Visiting from Rhoda's! I love your rooster...I think as long as roosters aren't painted crazy then they can be cute. ;) The vintage plates are adorable. :) Good finds!

That rooster is a FRENCH rooster, not a country one :) Can't believe your Pier One trash find. Those little plates are perfect for Miss P. Enjoyed my first visit!
